October Bulletin 2007
Our annual Halloween Party is scheduled for October 27th from 6:00-8:00 PM. The cost is $1.00 per child and adults are free. HALLOWEEN Notes and reservation forms will be sent home with each student. Forms must be returned no later than the 24th.
Be reminded that the second tuition payment for this year is due November 15th. It is very important that this payment be made on time. You will get a statement the 1st of the month.
Absolutely NO food, drinks, or gum is to be brought into the dance school (especially the waiting room!).
Please be sure that your child’s name is on all shoes and skirts.
Parents, please make a habit of checking your child’s tap shoes for unsecured nails or screws on the taps. Even new shoes can have loose nails and one loose nail can cause permanent and severe damage to my floor.
I am always trying to come up with new and fun ways to get students to follow the rules, focus on their lessons, work hard, and learn the disciplines of dress code and good attendance. I will have incentives for a job well done. A Free Dress day will be awarded to individual students and entire classes who exhibit enthusiasm and hard work. If your child receives a Free Dress Day they may wear any DANCE clothes to class on the designated day. This could be a different skirt or old Recital costume etc., but it must be dance clothes.
All classes ages 5 years and older are required to have a dance notebook for writing new dance terms, steps, and other homework assignments. Please make sure they have one and a pencil in their dance bag each week. (small notebooks are best.) I will write it in their notebooks for them as needed.
FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS WE WILL BE DOING EXERCISES AND DANCES WITH A HALLOWEEN THEME. ALL THINGS ARE DONE FOR FUN AND IN THE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON. IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS OR QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IMMEDIATELY.
Hooray! Most of the street construction is finished and both ends of the street are open for through traffic. Thank you for your patience during this messy and inconvenient time. Now the bad part – you can not stop in the street to pick your child up. You must park in a parking place and come to the door.
We are off to a great start! All rescheduling is finished and everyone is getting to know their new classmates and teachers. I am looking forward to a productive and exciting school year. I am already planning for Recital and will be measuring students and ordering costumes really early this year. Please help me make this a great year of learning for your child. Make sure they are here and on time! If you have any problems, questions, or concerns, please call me.
Ms. Cindy
